Data Deletion Request
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. This page explains how to exercise your "right to be forgotten" with TillageTrack and what you can expect during the process.
We respect your privacy rights and will process all deletion requests in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Understanding Your Data Deletion Rights
The GDPR gives you the right to request the erasure of your personal data when:
- Your personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected
- You withdraw your consent (where processing was based on consent)
- You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing
- Your personal data has been unlawfully processed
- Your personal data must be erased to comply with a legal obligation
Important: In some cases, we may have legal or regulatory obligations that require us to retain certain data. If this applies to your request, we will explain the reasons why we cannot delete certain information.
What Data Can Be Deleted
When you request data deletion from TillageTrack, we can remove:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and other profile details
- Farm Data: Information about your farm including name, size, location, and official numbers
- Activity Records: All farming activities you've recorded in the app
- Field Information: Data about your fields, blocks, soil types, and crops
- Equipment Details: Information about your farm machinery
- Photos and Documents: Any images or documents you've uploaded
- Usage Data: Information about how you've used the app
How to Request Data Deletion
Email Request
Please send a data deletion request by email:
- Send an email to privacy@gbasolutions.ie
- Use the subject line: "GDPR Data Deletion Request"
- Include your full name and the email address associated with your TillageTrack account
- Clearly state that you want your account and data deleted
We'll respond to confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days.
What Happens After You Submit a Request
Our Data Deletion Process
1. Verification
We'll verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate. This protects your data from unauthorized deletion requests.
2. Processing
Once verified, we'll process your request and delete your personal data from our active systems.
3. Confirmation
We'll send you confirmation when your data has been deleted (typically within 30 days of the verified request).
4. Backup Removal
Your data will also be removed from our backup systems as they cycle (typically within 90 days).
Additional Information
Retention of Certain Data
In some cases, we may need to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, or security purposes, even after you've requested deletion. This might include:
- Information needed to comply with legal obligations
- Data required to protect against fraudulent activity
- Aggregated, anonymized data that can no longer identify you
Third-Party Services
TillageTrack uses Google Firebase for data storage and other services. When we delete your data from our systems, it will also be removed from these third-party services in accordance with our data processing agreements.
